Astral Resorts and Holdings is a real estate and holiday package company operating on several Non-aligned Worlds. They are considered one of the INO 1000 and (as of the 3370s) the CEO holds one of the five permanent seats on the Tourist Board, the shadowy government of High Atlantic.
Astral is perhaps most famous for its mega-resorts in Neo-Atlantica, each capable of accommodating tens of thousands of tourists at a time on all-inclusive holiday packages. These vast complexes are attractive targets for local criminals, and hence Astral also maintains the single largest law enforcement service on High Atlantic, the Astral Marines. They are intended to appeal to young children and teenagers, equipped with flashy gear and wearing polished silver body armour. Astral Marines can also be found protecting other Astral properties, but these units are typically less heavily armed than those at the mega-resorts.
The most famous of the mega-resorts are the so-called ‘Satellite Trio’, consisting of the Red Sun at the heart of the Old City, the Blue Moon on the coast in Saint Ferron, and the Golden Star, a vast casino on the Neo-Atlantica Promenade.
Astral notably does not operate its own Starliners, instead maintaining a close relationship with Marinaki Logistics Services to handle the transport component of its holiday packages. MLS also provides passenger services for several smaller holiday companies, and benefitted greatly from Astral’s assistance in joint-purchasing several Interstellar Heavy Starliners for this busy route, agreeing to offer cut-price rates in return.
