Malmo was a Reunification Alliance exploration and survey ship, operated by the Exploration Board of the Reunification Navy. In 3011, Malmo was destroyed by Kharak-Ghar naval forces shortly after making first contact, sparking the outbreak of the First Kharak-Ghar War and the centuries of hostility that would follow.
Malmo was a one-off ship, converted from a Type-7 Freighter to a long-range exploration ship by improving the drive system and replacing much of the cargo bay with additional fuel tanks, crew stores, and an enlarged Otherlight Shift Module.
